Hi! :) Welcome to my website! My name is Natalie Perkins Taylor. I teach Business/Marketing & Computer Science classes. In particular, I teach Career Prep A, Exploring Computer Science, Internet Marketing, & AP Computer Science Principles.
Over the Summer, my family has grown. We adopted a puppy named Lady (terrier mix) in June & I got married in July. My husband & I have been friends since childhood. We even graduated from WHS together in 1999! His name is Brandon & he is a Network Engineer for Wind Creek Casinos. We have an active little boy named Barrett who is 8 years old and in 2nd Grade at Holtville Elementary.
As for a little background, I grew up just down the road in Wetumpka, AL. At Wetumpka High School, my connection with the Career Tech world began. I took three years of Marketing classes, was a Co-Op student, and was very involved in DECA. In fact, in 1997 (my Sophomore year), I was a Top 10 Finalist in Apparel and Accessories Marketing (Associate Level) at National DECA Competition. I graduated from Wetumpka High School in 1999 and moved to Birmingham to attend Birmingham-Southern College. At BSC, I majored in Business Administration and was very involved with a variety of student organizations: Zeta Tau Alpha, Cheerleaders, Diamond Girls, and Quest 2. I also completed an internship in 2002 at my Alma Mater (WHS) to help get the students ready for District DECA Competition. I graduated from Birmingham-Southern in 2003 and moved to Atlanta, GA for my first job with Project E Clothing. At Project E, I handled all Public Relations and Marketing efforts, which mainly focused on Product Placement in newspapers, magazines, movies, tv shows, and on musicians. Although my job at Project E was super fun, I had a little tug at my heart to do something more--something to make a difference. This led me to go back to school, at Brenau University, to complete my Teacher Certification. From then on, I have spent the last 14 years teaching in Georgia, South Carolina, and most recently- Sweet Home Alabama.
